Tarquin Cooper is a journalist and adventurer who writes regularly for the Daily Telegraph  Financial Times and Men’s Fitness magazine. His work has also appeared in The Times, Sunday Times, and America’s Outside Magazine. On TV he’s presented for Channel 4’s Adrenalin Rush series and contributed to TransWorld Sport and the National Geographic Channel. A balmy winter’s day in N.Z.’s southern alps

My Best Races:

*1st place Bristol Rat Race 2009 & 2nd place London Rat Race, 2008 (with Pete James, Sarah Odell).

* Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (CCC) 2008, 60 miles, 5,600m: 20hrs 20m 30s. Finished 324th (up 769 places from start).

* 2nd place, Three Peaks Yacht Race, 2007 (Lightning Reflex, skipper: Geoff West. Running partner Richard Ludlow).

* Running the 150-mile Marathon des Sables across the Sahara, April 2002.

 My Favourite Adventures:

* Unguided winter ascent of Mt Cook, New Zealand, 2006. (With Rohan Kilham)

* Mountain biking Britain’s 220 mile coast to coast.

* Climbing Alpamayo in Peru with Billy & Dave Bucknall, August 2000.
